As well as caring for children in their early years we also provide a service to parents which enables them to have older children up to the age of 11 cared for before and after school and during the school holidays. We have found this provision to be very popular, with ever increasing numbers of parents utilising the service.

 

Located in a welcoming, caring and stimulating environment we offer a wide range of activities including varied arts and crafts, outdoor play, games and cooking.  There is also an opportunity for children to do homework.

During school holidays, there is a full activity schedule based on children's current interests and tried and tested favourites.

Breakfast is served to children before school and after school they enjoy a freshly prepared, home-made tea.  All children attending the holiday club at Smarties receive drinks, snacks and meals, whether they are registered for a part day or full day. Meals are prepared and served in line with our healthy eating plan. 

  

Our learning through play framework promotes independent thinking in a safe environment. We also encourage respect for others through the value of taking turns, sharing, being part of a group and caring for each other. We ensure that every child has the support and attention they need to enjoy their day at Smarties.
