The practitioners in the baby unit make sure that our youngest children receive lots of attention with plenty of cuddles and reassurance.
At Smarties there is a large airy playroom rich with age appropriate resources where you little one can start their journey of exploration and learning through play. As sleep is so important, particularly at this age, we have a calm and relaxing sleep room which has been sympathetically decorated to reflect a peaceful environment. A separate room is used for creative play and meal times and is colourful with art work.
“Wow, well done, good, please, thank you, clever, amazing, excellent” are all words you will hear in the baby rooms as our experienced practitioners affirm and celebrate your baby’s daily achievements assisting them on the path to developing a sense of independence and confidence.
British values are introduced at a very early age and children are encouraged and supported to share and value friendships.
Baby’s Days software enables parents to login for real time information on how their baby’s day is progressing at Smarties and you will find this reassuring and informative.

A big thank you to all your dedicated hard work in looking after our daughter in the baby room. She is developing into such a lovely young girl who is building in confidence, is inquisitive and has come on in leaps and bounds since starting at Smarties. You all create such a friendly and family atmosphere and she has thrived in your setting. Even though we know she is ready for her next adventures in Tweenies we are very sad for her to leave the baby room. It is a reality check for us that even though she will always be our baby she is growing up. I remember how nervous I was at leaving her but you all made me feel at ease and she has always been happy coming to nursery. We are looking forward to continuing working with you.
