Our pre-school room is a little more structured to meet the needs of our older children. Resources are set up in specific areas and children have access to everything.  In pre-school the children will learn about different colours, shapes, numbers and letters as well as having plenty of time for child-led activities.

The children take part in Jolly Phonics, about the world around them and imaginative small world play as well as much more.  Outside play and learning opportunities in the large secure garden are part of their daily routine and meal times become a sociable occasion when they can talk to their friends about what they have done during the day or the food they are eating and learn good table manners. 

    

In pre-school the practitioners will concentrate on the Personal, Social and Emotional Development of the children in order to support their confidence and self-esteem enabling each and every one of them to become an independent and enthusiastic learner.
